Eat, Drink and Be Catholic offers women and men of all ages a casual opportunity to explore the Catholic faith. The hope is that at the end of each evening, individuals not only know more but are inspired and empowered to more fully live out the faith we celebrate on Sundays. We each are members– bodies– who are broken and part of the whole. Join author Julia Walsh FSPA for a time of reflection centered on exploring the sacredness of brokenness and gain insights into how our beautiful brokenness can serve the common good. Participants will receive a signed copy of Sister Julia’s spiritual memoir, For Love of the Broken Body.

Spiritual Writing: Staying Open to Sacred Mystery with Sister Julia Walsh

Koller Library, Manitowish Waters, WI

The spiritual practice of writing can be a journey from a blank page to a state of wonder. This writing workshop will explore best practices for the craft of spiritual writing. Participants will consider how writing can be a form of spiritual exploration and reverence, no matter which religious tradition or spiritualities influence the writer’s message.
